Pat Brodie has been creating gardens in Santa Barbara for the past 25 years. Originally from the East coast where she began her studies in landscape design and ornamental horticulture. She has an eclectic design style and draws inspiration from many garden styles with a focus on Mediterranean gardens and water conservation. Having spent 4 years in Japan and traveling throughout South East Asia many of her gardens reflect these design influences. She is known for creating a mood, a place where people tend to linger and explore beyond what may be around the corner. She strives to inspire all who enter the garden. She is a highly regarded garden designer and a knowledgeable plants woman. Her work has been featured on many local garden tours, in Sunset Magazine, LA Times,  Better homes and Gardens and HGTV.

''Creating gardens is like painting in three dimensions. I love to play with texture and shades of green, fine grassy foliage against a hard stone or shiny broad leaves, splashes of color. I try to awaken all the senses. It may be the sound of water and birds, or the fragrance of flowers and herbs. The garden is a forever changing place where each season gives us something to look forward to.''
